My love for baking started when I was 13 years old. My mother was a fabulous baker and as a child I would watch and learn. As I grew older, I developed an intolerance for foods containing wheat and soy and began looking for alternatives. Unfortunately, I found the gluten free options available at the time to be lacking in taste, texture, and quality. Over the years, I have experimented with many gluten-free flours and baking methods in search of a replacement that tastes as good or better than the original wheat-based recipe. After many hours in the kitchen, I am happy to say that I have achieved, and in many cases, exceeded my goal. I created Dessert Girls, GF to share my passion and love for baking to others. MORE importantly, to allow everyone the opportunity to now enjoy eating their desserts deliciously GLUTEN FREE. When you give us a try you to will discover how delicious gluten-free desserts can be. One of the best way to get more acquainted with the bounty of food options is to book a tour with us! We will take you on a short walk through the neighborhoods and help you discover many hidden gems. Tours happen every Thursday at 4pm, last two hours, and include plenty of delicious bites to eat.
